The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day.
